A History of Innovation

Among the world’s finest aircraft maintenance centers, Valair Aviation is one of the few that can claim a history spanning five decades. In the early 1950’s, when the predecessor of today’s Valair Aviation began, the idea of an aircraft designed and built totally for business use was visionary. The Aero Commander created an industry. It revolutionized corporate travel and methods of conducting business.

Today, Valair is a full service, one stop source for maintenance, modification, overhaul, avionics, interior, and paint for King Airs, Citations, Lears, Commanders, Hawkers, Beechjets, and Challengers. The same history making spirit so prevalent fifty years ago still exists.

We still search for innovative ways to keep your aircraft flying by competitive pricing, which in itself can be called a revolution. As an example, we have pioneered innovative repairs for King Air cargo doors which have saved operators thousands of dollars and put the aircraft back in flight status quickly. Another example is our research and knowledge of Turbo Commander aircraft, which have saved operators tens of thousands of dollars by developing the streamlined procedures of lower spar cap replacement, when necessitated by corrosion defects. When several different models of aircraft were having trouble with landing gear struts losing their pressure and fluid in between inspections, we developed the ServiSeal™, which stopped landing gear strut leaks for at least three times as long.

Though new technology has brought many innovations, there is one important facet of Valair’s success that has not changed since the first hangar doors opened – attitude.
